Baseball/Softball Program.

Baseball players from youth to professional levels are “covering their training bases” by participating in the Acceleration Sports Training Programs and improving their running speed, agility, throwing velocity and accuracy, and hitting skills.

Our baseball/softball training program consists of the most advanced training technology available today, along with specialized equipment, all designed to improve:

  • Acceleration and speed for running the bases
  • Agility for quick movements on the field
  • Arm strength for pitching, throwing and bat swing velocity
  • Strength and stamina
  • Hand-eye coordination


PROGRAM COMPONENTS:
Super Running Treadmill: Research has shown that incline running on our unique, hydraulically controlledSuper Running Treadmill provides 200-300% more recruitment of the muscles responsible for increasing and maintaining speed, than running on level ground at the same stride frequency. This type of speed training increases the chance for baseball/softball athletes to beat out the infield hit, run bases faster or get to the ball quicker.

Plyometrics: Plyometric training includes a variety of footwork drills and special exercises that enhance an athlete‘s performance and ability to stay balanced while pitching, and for changing directions quickly and explosively for running, fielding and stealing bases.

Strength Training: Through the use of specially designed weight equipment and an individualized program, baseball and softball athletes can develop and increase their strength base (only available when signed up separately or with groups of 4, 5 or 6.)

Resistance Cord Training: Our patented SprintCords are used on the running treadmill to overload and recruit the hip flexors and quads while sprinting. These resistance bands are different than pulling a parachute or weighted sled because they specifically overload the hip flexors after toe off.

If you’re new to Acceleration we suggest you first try our 18 Session SPQ Program. For the more dedicated athlete we suggest the 8 Week or longer SPQ Speed Pass. After you complete your first program you may want to consider the 12 or 6 Session Maintenance Program. This will help maintain the fitness increases from your first program.

18 Sessions: 6 to 9-Week SPQ Program: Speed and Agility Training (two or three sessions per week)
Each athlete will receive a customized program that includes pre and post testing and specific combinations of plyometric, powermetric, core strength and Super Running Treadmill training. Certain athletes will also utilize our patented sport cord technology to improve coordination and explosiveness. 12 Sessions: 4 to 6-Week SPQ Program: Speed and Agility Training

SPQ Speed Pass:
With the Speed Pass you can utilize Acceleration’s running treadmill and plyometric and agility training as much as you like for the length of the pass. You can still expect the same exceptionally low trainer to athlete ratio, one-on-one attention and tailored program; now you just get more of it. For best results we recommend at least 3 workouts per week and no more then 4. Sign up for a 4 week, 8 week or 3, 6 or 12 month Speed Pass and get unlimited training for the length of the pass. This is available year round for all sports and has program upgrades listed below. If registering online for a multi-month Pass your credit card will be automatically charged the monthly amount each month. Contact us for group and family discounts.
